MARIJUANA, CANNABIS, MARIHUANA NEWS IN VERMONT 2017
May 3, 2017 Wednesday, in the news in Vermont:
“The debate ended in a roll call vote shortly after 11:30 p.m. [Tuesday May 2, 2017]
The bill will come up for final approval in the House Wednesday” [May 3, 2017]
“H.170, would remove all penalties for adult possession of up to an ounce of marijuana.
It would also allow adults to grow up to two mature and four immature marijuana plants
per household. The legislation would not, however, create a
regulatory structure for pot sales.
The House approved the bill 74 to 68.”
So, what does “final approval in the House” mean?
Please call your Vermont state representative and ask them what that means,
and to please give “final approval” to this bill!
Why is the above report so annoying, from vtdigger.org?
Because it doesn’t explain how it can be that
“The House approved the bill 74 to 68.”
it has to give final approval Wednesday (today).
Why don’t they explain why a bill has to have “final approval” after a vote in its favor?
