Is this finally the election season when we will talk about homeless Veterans?
PART 1) WHAT IS THE PROBLEM THAT NEEDS TO BE SOLVED?
MAKE VERMONT A SANCTUARY STATE FOR HOMELESS VETERANS, BUILD “VERMONT VETERANS VILLAGES”!!!
Is this election season, 2018, the year we will finally build Vermont Villages and make Vermont a sanctuary state for homeless US Military Veterans, as many as 50,000
of them in the USA!!!
Remember, for every homeless US Military Veteran who moves to Vermont, if they have a Pension or receive SSI, that will be money spent locally into the economy in Vermont, spent at grocery stores and other stores and business in Vermont.
10,000 homeless US Military Veterans moved into Vermont could mean at least $1,000 (Pension or SSI and federal food stamps, SNAP program) benefits, so, 10,000 X 1,000 = 10,000,000 MILLION more new dollars into the economy of Vermont spent at stores and grocery stores, etc., EVERY MONTH!
20,000 homeless US Military Veterans moved into Vermont could mean 20,000,000 MILLION dollars of new money spent into the economy of Vermont at grocery stores and other businesses, etc., EVERY MONTH!
30,000 homeless US Military Veterans moved into Vermont could mean 30,000,000 MILLION dollars of new money spent into the economy of Vermont at grocery stores and other businesses, etc., EVERY MONTH!
AND THAT MANY NEW VERMONTERS WOULD ONLY INCREASE THE
TOTAL POPULATION OF THE STATE OF VERMONT TO ABOUT 650,000!
Let’s start with building Vermont Veterans Villages in the State of Vermont and declaring the State of Vermont a Sanctuary State for Homeless US Military Veterans. We can build homes for them in a cost effective way that will give them individual homes well spaced out in Vermont forests so the ones with PTSD will find the solitude they need. We can build roads and hire bus drivers to take them shopping on a schedule and to medical facilities and libraries. We can give them a far better life than living in the streets of Los Angeles and sleeping on cardboard or sleeping in the bushes in the park across the street from the White House in Washington, D.C.
WHAT ARE THE CURRENT FACTS ON HOMELESS
U.S. MILITARY VETERANS?
http://nchv.org/index.php/news/media/background_and_statistics/ ” U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) estimates that 40,056 Veterans are homeless on any given night.”…
…” more than 40,000 homeless Veterans receive compensation or pension benefits each month.”
WHERE CAN WE GET FREE LABOR TO BUILD HOMES FOR VETERANS?
Now, lets look at the Vermont Constitution: it says prisoners are to work for the public in view of the public. There are about 1200 right now. We need to hire professional lumberjacks to train prisoners how to safely cut down trees in Vermont owned state forests.
We need to hire cabin builders to train Vermont
prisoners to build log cabins for each and every
homeless US Military Veteran in the United States
of America who is willing to try living in Vermont.
We need to hire hard wood floor makers and cabinet
makers to train the prisoners and septic system builders and clean water plumbing and solar panel installers. We need to give the prisoners Graduation Certificates and Ceremonies
when they are ready to re-enter society, and make them feel welcome! So, where does the money come from to build log
cabins and install septic systems, and solar panels and clean water plumbing, etc.?
WHERE WILL THE MONEY COME FROM TO BUILD VERMONT VETERANS VILLAGES FOR HOMELESS US MILITARY VETERANS FROM ALL OVER THE USA, ALL 50,000 OF THEM?
The US Congress votes to give our tax dollars to the Pentagon and then the Pentagon hands our tax dollars out to various defense contractors like Lockheed and Boeing and then they use our tax dollars for research – design & development and then they invent new defense products using our tax dollars for research and then they sell the new defense products worldwide to our allies and then they pocket the trillions of dollars of profit.
What’s wrong with this?
What’s wrong is that it is a violation of the intent of US Patent Laws, we, the taxpayers, paid for the R&D, the research – design and development, so we – the taxpayers – should receive a minimum of 50% of the profits of all sales of defense products to our allies world wide because under the intent of the US Patent law, where we paid for the R & D, we should OWN the products we paid for, and therefore we should OWN the sales profits – because under “WORK MADE FOR HIRE” US Patent laws, for example, if you work for IBM you sign a work made for hire agreement if you are an INVENTOR, so that IBM owns the products you invent, they paid you, so they own the products the inventor invents. Now, the taxpayers must demand protection under Work Made For Hire Laws and demand a minimum of 50% of the profits of all sales of jets and bombs and things to our foreign allies, and then divide that between the 50 states, and use that money for education, healthcare, etc.
Also, when the US Congress votes to give money to the Pentagon and the Pentagon gives the money out to various defense contractors then the defense contractors give some of that money to their PACs, political action committees, who wine and dine the US Congress members and give them campaign donations from the PACs. So, your tax dollars have come full circle, this is money laundering, your tax dollars have ended up in the pockets of the US Congressmen who voted to give your tax dollars to the Pentagon who divided up your tax dollars and gave them to defense contractors who gave money to PACs – political action committees who wined and dined US Congress members and then gave huge donations to the ones who promised to vote for more money for the Pentagon who would give it to the defense contractors who would give it to the PACs who would give it right back to the US Congress members to stuff into their own pockets and campaign accounts.
Meanwhile, back on the sidewalk in Los Angeles there are homeless US Military Veterans sleeping on cardboard, and in Washington, D.C. there are homeless US Military Veterans sleeping in bushes in the park across from the White House.
Is 2018 the Election Season we will finally talk about providing homes for all US Military Veterans, and really do something about it?
